What is Music Therapy?

Music therapy is the clinical & evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program (American Music Therapy Association, 2005).

Where does therapy take place?

Music therapy can take place in a variety of locations, including schools, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospice centers, early childhood facilities, a private practice location, or even your home. 

Weinert Music Therapy is a mobile service - we will travel to you all across the Quad Cities and surrounding areas! We hope to one day have a space of our own, but until then, we can either come to you or we can schedule virtual services if appropriate.
